Bocce ball has long been one of the great social games of Italian culture, bringing together friends, families, retirees, clubs, restaurants, parks and neighborhood communities. In Florida, bocce has found a natural home thanks to the state’s sunshine, outdoor lifestyle and strong Italian-American presence.
From North Florida to South Florida and across the Gulf Coast, bocce courts can be found in public parks, private communities, Italian clubs, restaurants and recreational centers. Some locations are casual public courts, while others may require reservations, club membership, restaurant use or community access. Always check directly with the park, city, restaurant or association before visiting.
St. Augustine has long been associated with Italian-American cultural groups, including Sons of Italy activity in the region. Bocce remains a natural fit for social clubs, heritage organizations and community gatherings throughout North Florida.
South Florida has one of the strongest bocce scenes in the state, especially in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Public parks, Italian restaurants and recreation centers keep the tradition alive.
